The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, received His Holiness Leo XIV on an official visit at the Quirinale Palace. Pope Leo XIV was welcomed by President Mattarella in the Courtyard of Honor with military honours. After making a stop at the Chapel of the Annunziata, the President and the Pope reached the Hall of Mirrors where they met the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, the President of the Constitutional Court, Giovanni Amoroso, with their respective General Secretaries.
