WhatsApp It is certainly the most common instant messaging application in the world, and as such the development team is constantly at work to meet as much as possible to the needs of its vast users by making changes and introducing new options to improve the experience of use.
Nonetheless, there is a specific functionality which, even if for a long time requested by the users of the app, has never been implemented in the system, unlike for example what happened for Telegram: on WhatsApp to date it is impossible to plan the sending of messages, and at the moment it does not seem that this need is at the top of the list of developers’ interests.
It is certainly a function that could be very comfortable, for example to send happy birthday wishes immediately after midnight, to notify some contacts of a specific deadline or simply to inform someone who from a certain hour onwards is no longer available because of a commitment: and all this without having to wait for the last minute risking for example to forget some details that perhaps would not have escaped if it had been planned well in advance.
But is it still possible to be able to do it through WhatsApp despite not being the program authorized for this function? The version BusinessDespite having some more options of the standard one, it allows you to set messages early, but only welcome, that is to say that they are automatically sent after being contacted by a customer, so there is no control over time. Here’s how to get around the problem with the two main furniture operating systems.
Android
The only way for Android systems is to rely on third party apps. The best known and widespread among users around the world are Wasavi, Skedit and Schodler, downloadable from the Google Play: to ensure that they can operate correctly, all require authorization to access the user’s Whatsapp account and its contacts present in the address book.
These applications have the WhatsApp option well in evidence, and configuring the message, with text, recipient and the date/hour of sending, is a simple and intuitive process.
iOS
As regards Apple users, however, not being available any of these software on the App Store, you can get around the problem with a small makeup by relying on the native app Quick commands.
Just open it, reach the automation screen, touch the icon + and choose “Create new automation”: from here you access the day of the day to set the time and frequency of sending (day, week, month), then on Next, add action and WhatsApp.
At this point you must select Send message, write the text and choose the recipient.
The problem is that it is a procedure that sets a repeated action, so if you want to plan only a message you have to remember to deactivate it after sending.
