How it works
What is no longer a novelty (but many still is unknown) was announced by Meta in November 2024 and entered only in 2025, a few weeks ago. Initially, as always when news arrives, it was available only for the beta testers. As mentioned, with a simple click you can read the vocal messages having a different impact, faster and immediate, with those who send us the audio. The developers explain that the transcriptions of vocal messages will obviously work for the recipient but the sender will not be able to see the transcriptions.
How to activate
Let’s go to the point: to be able to activate it, those who own an iPhone or iPad will have to go directly to the WhatsApp application, click on settings and go to the item relating to the chats. At that point a screen will appear where it is clearly written “Transcription of vocal messages“. The first time, when you activate, you will read the following message.”Read your vocal messages with transcriptions. Vocal messages remain protected from end-to-end encryption. Nobody outside this chat, not even WhatsApp, can read or listen to its content“.
At that point it is asked to choose the tongue: The Italian is in the lead, click on the option and a confirmation message will appear after which everything will be active. It is important to underline that privacy will not be affected in any way, nobody can read the content of the audio.
For those who are not (still) available
In a very easy and intuitive way, just go to any vocal audio, you click on it and the first option you read is “transcribe”: by clicking once again, you will have to wait a few seconds that the transcription is completed and the game is Done. Immediately under the vocal message, the translation will be read in full, a turning point requested for months by millions of users who are now satisfied.
