WhatsApp, the news everyone was waiting for: how forwarded messages change

It must have happened to anyone, at least once, to forward via WhatsApp a file or a simple link to someone present in your address book and wanting to add a note to it, whether it was an explanation connected to the nature of the attachment or a simple ironic comment: well, still this simple operation cannot be completed, so the user is forced to follow a longer and more complex procedure than it actually appears.

Apparently the Meta development team, working to make further improvements to its instant messaging app, has finally decided to intervene to remedy this problem. According to what was reported by the experts at WaBetaInfoin fact, on one of the latest Beta versions of the application that can be found in distribution on the Google Play Store, to be precise the 2.24.25.3a new function relating to message forwarding has been implemented.

In the version currently available to everyone, in fact, the user has the possibility of attaching a message only if the content sent to his contact in the address book turns out to be a multimedia filesuch as a photo, an image or a video: it is sufficient, in fact, to select “Forward” to add a note to the content, but the option is not available if you instead want to send a simple file, a text message or a link. The only possibility available to the user, which is decidedly less practical, is to first send the content that you want to make available to your contact and then to hurry to the chat list to retrieve the conversation with the recipient in which to insert a possible explanatory note or comment, so that the link between the two separate messages is understood in an unequivocal way.

This gap has been filled thanks to a new option implemented on the Beta 2.24.25.3 version of WhatsApp: thanks to it, therefore, users of the famous instant messaging app will finally be able to add a note to any type of content they want to forward to their address book contact, whether they are multimedia files such as videos and photographs or simple ones text file or link.

Since this is a change that will not have to overturn the menu but only expand the possibilities of choice for users via “Forward”, it is likely that the option will be released as soon as possible and can be used by both Android and iOS users.
