Xiaomi presented the Redmi Note 17 Series, the latest generation of its best-selling smartphone line, introducing four new models: Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G, Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 17 5G and Redmi Note 17.
The series offers significantly larger batteries and faster charging, improved water and drop resistance, as well as a completely new design.
Redmi Titan Quality and Redmi Titan Structure
Note 17 Pro Max 5G and Note 17 Pro 5G are the first devices in the industry to achieve TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification, a new quality standard. The certification validates three critical dimensions of long-term reliability through rigorous laboratory and field testing: drop resistance (mechanical impact, vibration, shock, and port and button life), water resistance (prolonged immersion in 8 test categories), and battery performance (thermal shock, intensive charging cycles, and long-term endurance).
Note 17 Pro Max 5G and Note 17 Pro 5G feature the Titan Structure. Both Pro models boast an advanced waterproof architecture with Ip66 and Ip68 ratings, and have also passed a rigorous 72-hour water resistance test at 2 meters depth. Backed by SGS certification, the Pro models have been tested to withstand drops from a maximum height of three meters onto granite surfaces. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 further improves drop and scratch resistance.
Redmi Titan Battery System
The entire Note 17 Series is equipped with the Redmi Titan Battery System, based on advanced silicon-carbon technology. Note 17 Pro Max 5G is equipped with a 9,210 mAh battery, combined with 100 W HyperCharge technology and 27 W reverse charging. Note 17 Pro 5G has an 8,340 mAh battery with 67 W HyperCharge, while Note 17 5G and Note 17 integrate a 7,700 mAh battery and 45 W turbo charging W.
Supported by an intelligent management system, the batteries retain 80% or more of their original capacity after 1,600 charging cycles, equivalent to approximately six years of typical use.
Design
Note 17 Series introduces a renewed design, characterized by a redesigned camera module, a flat display, rounded corners and a dual-finish back cover. Available exclusively on Note 17 Pro Max 5G, the Cloud Blush variant features a photochromic back cover that, under UV light, goes from white to a pink-orange shade.
Display
The Pro models come with a 6.83-inch display, while the Note 17 5G and Note 17 offer a 6.99-inch display. Note 17 Pro Max 5G and Note 17 Pro 5G deliver peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits, complemented by 1.5K resolution.
