Xiaomi presented its new range of Xiaomi 17 Series cameraphones consisting of the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi models. Below are the main features and prices.
Refined design
Xiaomi 17 Series presents a minimalist design that favors elegance and a professional look. Clean lines, smooth edges and an essential layout create a simple and decisive look. Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the thinnest and lightest Xiaomi Ultra ever, measures just 8.29 mm thick and weighs just 218.4 g, sporting a refined and completely flat body with ultra-thin bezels. The Xiaomi Guardian Structure ensures robust durability with Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0, which offers 30% more drop resistance than Xiaomi 15 Ultra, a high-strength fiberglass back, an aluminum alloy frame and an IP68 rating for complete protection against dust and moisture. Xiaomi 17 measures 8.06 mm thick and weighs only 191 g. It also features a redesigned photography module and ultra-thin 1.18mm bezels.
Collaboration with Leica
Xiaomi continues its partnership with Leica to offer a professional imaging experience on Xiaomi 17 Series. In particular, the 17 Ultra’s 200MP Leica camera stands out, featuring a 75–100mm mechanical optical zoom. The telephoto camera maintains high image quality with minimal ghosting and color distortion throughout the zoom range, and extends to a 400mm equivalent focal length (17.2x).
Xiaomi 17 is equipped with an equally powerful and versatile photographic system, which revolves around the top-of-the-range Light Fusion 950 image sensor with dimensions of 1/1.31″ and 2.4μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel.
