The president of the United States lying inside a coffin, wrapped in a United States flag and under the writing: “Let’s kill Trump”. It is the subject of the new mural that appeared in Enghelab Square, in the center of Tehran, Iran. While the US attacks continue, the Iranian media have released images of the depiction, with the most radical wing of the Iranian regime avenging the killing of the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
The anti-US murals
Other murals with strongly anti-American and anti-Israel tones also appeared in Palestine Square, one of the symbolic places of the Islamic Republic’s propaganda. The most impressive work, which covers the entire facade of a building, depicts the White House engulfed in flames. In the foreground appear coffins covered by the American flag with images of Trump and other members of the US administration, accompanied by the slogan: “Blood for blood, an eye for an eye”.
Other murals feature slogans such as “To the top without stopping” and “A person like me will never swear allegiance to someone like him”, phrases attributed to Imam Hussein, a central figure of Shiite Islam.
