“Dozens of Iranian-made rockets, missiles, UAVs, machine guns, and hundreds of mines and explosive devices were found inside the underground infrastructure,” army accounts write on social media. But the findings don’t stop there: “A central command complex belonging to Hezbollah’s ‘Badr’ unit was located within the infrastructure. It contained command centers, weapons storage rooms and living quarters that allowed terrorists to manage combat and remain underground for extended periods.”
The armed forces who entered the tunnels and networks of the “citadel” found dozens of weapons. Images of Israeli soldiers rummaging through abandoned trunks containing grenades and other explosives were circulated online.

What does Ali al-Taher’s conquest represent
Ali al-Taher is a mountain ridge in southern Lebanon, about fifteen kilometers from the border with Israel. It reaches around 600 meters in height and dominates some of the main communication routes between the south of the country, the coast and the Bekaa valley. Already in the summer of 2025 the area had become the focus of IDF operations which had launched several raids in the area. Tel Aviv’s offensives were then slowed down due to the threat of new attacks from Tehran. With the operation of the last few hours, Israel has dealt a severe blow to the Iranian-armed militia.
