SwitchBot announced the launch of AI Art Frame 2: a digital frame featuring a full-color, paper-like E-Ink display and AI-powered creative tools.
Available in 7.1, 13.3 and 31.5 inch sizes, AI Art Frame 2 can fit anywhere. It includes 500 carefully selected masterpieces and allows users to upload personal content, schedule the rotation of works, share memories remotely and create original works via SwitchBot AI Studio. You can change the images displayed through the app, using the back button or by triple-tapping the frame. The “presentation” and “schedule” modes allow you to automate updates. There is no lack of compatibility with Alexa and Home Assistant. The 16 GB microSD card, included in the package, allows you to store approximately 5,000 images locally.
Thanks to SwitchBot AI Studio, the AI Art Remix function can transform a cherished photograph or a child’s drawing into works that recall different styles, such as an oil painting or a sketch; AI Art Prompt, on the other hand, allows you to add new scenarios, details or atmospheres through the use of texts. Functions present in the SwitchBot app, useful for controlling all the company’s devices.
It is also possible to hold down the function key on the frame and verbally describe a scene, a color palette, an atmosphere or an artistic style, thus generating an original work starting from your own words. The “Weather Muse” feature uses local weather conditions as creative inspiration, resulting in works inspired by the weather or different seasons.
As for the design, AI Art Frame 2 eliminates the white passepartout present in the previous model, allowing the artwork to extend to the edge. The frame is new, now with a classic design, with a wood-effect finish, walnut colour, and a stepped profile.
The full-color E-Ink Spectra 6 display uses ambient light rather than a constantly lit backlight, providing a paper-like, glare-free appearance without the visual effect of a conventional screen.
Thanks to a built-in rechargeable battery and a low-power E-Ink display, AI Art Frame 2 can run for up to three years on a single charge (with one image update per day), allowing you to keep walls and surfaces free of power cords. Wi-Fi connectivity also allows you to send images to the frame remotely.
The 7.1-inch model can be placed on a desk, shelf or nightstand, or mounted on a wall. The 13.3-inch model is ideal for entryways, sideboards, bedrooms or small wall compositions, while the 31.5-inch version, designed for wall mounting only, acts as a high-impact central element in living rooms or main walls. A built-in accelerometer automatically detects orientation, switching between portrait and landscape modes.
The “Gift Mode” function makes AI Art Frame 2 a personalized gift even before the package is opened. The person giving the gift can scan the QR code on the packaging, select photographs or works of art and add a personal message that the recipient can discover after configuration.
