A Mussolini from Avanspettacolo
A carousel of banalities, a flood of caricature mistaken for acting, a political phenomenon emptied of its tragic historical complexity and framed within a scenography and photography that oscillate between Gothic and vaudeville, Lovecraft and Nino Taranto.
A vision that does not offer young people useful tools to understand the historical period and the facts, nor adds anything to those who, with greater maturity and knowledge, have already developed a thoughtful vision on the topic.
Instead, it serves an unaware and uninformed mass, who has never browsed through De Felice or Nolte, but is satisfied with sports bar simplifications.
