Another new thing coming for Whatsapp. The instant messaging application most used by users, in fact, is offering a new function that will allow users to retrieve a chat message much more quickly.
The announcement was made by Meta, the company that owns WhatsApp. There new function it is currently being distributed, and will soon be available in our country too. Mark Zuckerberg himself wanted to present it to the public in a recent video.
More comfortable and faster
The new feature introduced will allow users to look for a specific message within a chat more quickly, saving time. In practice it will be possible to apply a filter by specific date, and the message will come out.
Basically, it will be enough to open the conversation in which the message is found, open the application menu, indicated by the three dots at the top right, and tap on “Search”. In the top bar you can enter the words to search for in the conversation, those that can help us in the search. Or, thanks to the brand new function, you can choose the option linked to calendar and there enter the specific date linked to the message we are looking for.
By choosing the specific day, the application will proceed by searching for the keywords we typed in the messages exchanged on that specific date. This, as you can imagine, will reduce the search field and will allow us to find the message we were looking for sooner.
The new function
This new research methodology is already present for Android And iOS. It may not be available to everyone yet, but WhatsApp assures us that it is a matter of days. The function will also come for WhatsApp Web and will be used in the same way.
The news was welcomed with great enthusiasm. As simple as it is, this function will undoubtedly allow you to save time and to find all those messages dispersed in chats first. Think, for example, of a message containing an appointment, or work shifts. Important information that we often need to consult immediately.
As explained by the WhatsApp team, it will be enough to enter even a single term and then indicate the desired date to be taken to the message present in the chat that we want, without scrolling through the entire conversation.
