Between voice or written messages, emojis, videos, photos or animated gifs, the ways to communicate with your contacts on social networks or instant messaging apps such as WhatsApp they are numerous and very different from each other: among the possibilities, however, there is also another option, represented by numerical codes, and one in particular has come to the fore in recent days.
These are the sequences “7642“, an extremely simple but, by analyzing the underlying meaning, equally effective way to express a concept to a loved one. Recently the numerical sequence has gone viral, and there are numerous testimonies from users who have received it in chats or in private conversations on WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage, but also on the main social networks such as TikTok, Facebook, X or Instagram.
Behind the number there is nothing secret or obscure, on the contrary, it is a positive coded message: “I will always be here for you”. According to the interpretation provided online by some users, the number 7 would refer to the concept of “forever”, with the 6 it would mean “I will be there”, the 4 is “for” and the 2 would relate to the person who is the subject of our attention.
The numerical sequences for communicating, however, they are not an absolute novelty. For example, 143 means “I love you”, where 1 would indicate “I”, 4 would express the concept of “love” and 3 is “you”. A more intense version of the message is represented by the sequence 1437, whereby the concept of “forever” expressed by 7 is added to the previous one: this would therefore mean, “I will love you forever”. A further variant is the one with the code 1543, for which the 5 is added to the sequence of “I love you” represented by 143, which would indicate “still”: it should be interpreted as “I am still in love with you”, so in reference to an evidently tormented bond that in a certain sense was broken.
Sifting through social media you can also find 737, with which you wish your sweetheart goodnight, and 687, used instead to apologise, perhaps after an argument or a misunderstanding.
So what to do if you receive a message with 7642 on WhatsApp? Apart from feeling flattered
from its meaning and perhaps worrying about answering after having grasped it at all, it is simply a different way to express a concept common to many friendships or family or sentimental bonds.
