The Acea group participates in the 46th edition of the Rimini Meeting entitled “In deserted places we will build with new bricks”, organized by the Meeting Foundation for the friendship between the peoples.
The group is also present this year with a stand inside the exhibition area of the event which will take place at the Rimini fair until 27 August. An opportunity to tell and show the great projects that the group is carrying out, on the water and environmental front, and to enhance initiatives and paths, including cultural. Acea proposes its own idea of the future in which sustainability and innovation are the bearing axes of each business for the spread of a culture that aims at greater awareness and responsibility in the consumption of resources, in particular of the water, so essential and so strategic at this moment.
It is no coincidence that the group is carrying out, in the territories in which it is present, numerous water education projects aimed at primary and secondary school students. The initiative is part of the three -year protocol signed by the CEO of Acea, Fabrizio Palermo, and by the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, to promote information and training activities in the school world on the integrated water cycle and the conscious use of water. This year over 11,000 boys have been involved throughout Italy. These educational courses will be presented in the Acea stand at the meeting, together with the strategic projects of the group currently underway: from the second line of the Peschiera aqueduct, the most important public work in Italy after the bridge over the Strait, to the new thermosalizer in Rome, which will be built in the Santa Palomba area.
Then the focus on innovation is important, in particular on robotics and artificial intelligence with the symbolic presence at the “Teddi” and “Albert” stand, the two robots, the first with canine features, the second humanoid, which support the technicians at work every day on electrical and water networks. There will therefore be viewers for virtual reality, which will guide the participants to discover the sources of Peschiera and Capore. Acea, in fact, also thanks to the recent agreements signed with first level entities such as the Italian Institute of Technology of Genoa which provides for the establishment of a Robotic Joint Lab, the first robotics laboratory in Italy for the innovation of industrial networks, is increasingly consolidated as a reference actor in industrial innovation at the service of territories and communities.
Just testifying to how innovation has always distinguished the history of the group, in the Acea stand there will also be a selection of works and objects taken from the “Heritage” exhibition, inaugurated in July in Rome at the headquarters in Piazzale Ostiense, to tell the story e
The culture of the group: a journey between works, documents and objects to discover how the first water operator in Italy, in its 116 years of activity, has contributed to the economic, social and civil growth of the country.
