“Smarter Technology for All”: the smartest technology for everyone. It’s the slogan of Lenovo which – like all big brands – takes up the challenge of the future of artificial intelligence to bring it – precisely – into all its products, from those intended for consumers (Yoga and Legion) to those designed for businesses (ThinkBook, ThinkPad, ThinkCentre ).
A challenge presented to Ces 2024 in Las Vegas, one of the most important technology fairs in the world, and which from February 14th you can experience first-hand in the Lenovo space in Milan, where some of the new devices are on display. Devices that allow anyone to use theartificial intelligence generative in total safety because – they explain from Lenovo – based on dedicated NPU (the processor capable of “thinking” on which AI is based) and not on online software. This means that all data remains local and not in the cloud. An important aspect especially in the workplace, since it is possible to ask the AI, for example, to create a presentation with the files available on your hard disk, without the need to share anything externally. Furthermore, a lot of attention has been dedicated to optimizing performance and battery, for a more efficient experience.
There are several PCs designed for consumer users, and in particular Yoga AI laptops with Windows 11 and Yoga Creator Zone, the software that allows you to create images through textual descriptions. And it is precisely on software with AI that Lenovo pushes the most. Particularly with AvatarMaster – a real gem of the Legion line designed for gaming – which transforms the user into a 3D digital avatar capable of mimicking even facial expressions. But also with SmartMeeting which allows you to optimize video conferences and remote meetings.
But beyond artificial intelligence, the engine of a true technological revolution in the sector, there are two most interesting innovations that can be tested. As the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid, a notebook that becomes a tablet. In fact, it is composed of a base with keyboard that integrates a real laptop based on Windows 11 and a monitor that becomes an Android tablet. Two devices in one that can be used paired (a convenient button allows you to switch from one operating system to another) or simultaneously, on the tablet display or by connecting the base to an external monitor.
And then there is one of the most anticipated new features, the ThinkVision 27 3D, designed especially for creatives, graphic designers, engineers, architects. It is a stereoscopic monitor which – thanks to artificial intelligence that hooks and follows the user’s gaze – allows 3D viewing like at the cinema, but without the need for glasses. Not only that: the eye-tracking system allows you to “enter” the image. The concrete example in the Lenovo Space is that of a dinosaur that comes to life off the screen, but the practical application of this technology opens the way to new scenarios.
