Prime Video's announcement extends its hand to subscribers. “We aim to have significantly fewer ads than linear television and other streaming services,” said an announcement circulated in recent weeks by Jeff Bezos' company. The first experiences relating to these interruptions tell us that they are short-lived and are found at the beginning and during a TV series: in some of them, for example, around three minutes of advertising were counted divided into different moments with commercials ranging between 25 and 60 seconds. Not much, of course, but not very little either. The commercials will also be shown while movies are playing and, as mentioned, during sporting events.
How to remove advertising
To avoid interruptions to programs with commercials there is a solution: with a 1.99 euros per month you can immediately say goodbye to the choice of Amazon Prime Video. This subscription is renewed monthly and is very simple to stop, you can do it at any time: among the options is “Registration Without Advertising” where it is explained to upgrade to be able to watch your favorite programs without commercials. “Your membership renews automatically and you can cancel at any time“. It is important to underline that advertising breaks will continue as normal (without having to pay extra) during live broadcasts. The overall subscription costs would thus reach 6.98 euros monthly or the sum of 49.90 euros per year plus 1.99 euros per month because the option does not have to be paid in a single payment but can be renewed every 30 days.
The choice of Amazon Prime Video
The choice of the streaming platform goes in the direction of maintaining “the quality and quantity of content on Prime Video“. At least for the moment, there seems to be no indication of an increase in costs even on subscription plans which will continue to have the current figures. The choice was made for “continue to invest in interesting content and continue to increase the investment over a long period of time“.
Anyone wishing to cancel the plan without advertising, even in the event of an error, the sum of 1.99 euros will be refunded within two weeks but also until content is viewed.
