In recent days we have talked about problems encountered in the new operating system Apple iOS 18. A few days after the release, numerous reports began to arrive regarding a bug that appeared in the Messages app. Apple’s response was naturally expected, and it arrived quickly. In fact, it seems that the US multinational has already prepared the update to resolve the inconveniences encountered by its users.
Update coming soon
According to the latest information, therefore, the new iOS version 18.0.1 would be coming. The update will resolve both the problem encountered in the Messages app and other crashes reported by users. As we said, immediately after the release of iOS 18, which took place in September, reports flooded in, and not just regarding the Messages bug. There were also those who complained about the responsiveness of the touchscreen. According to those who complained about the problem, the screen would be responding incorrectly to commands. In some cases, there would even be no response.
Hence the timeliness of Apple, which is working quickly to provide the version with the corrective in a very short time. It looks like the update will be available in a few weeks. It will, in fact, be a purely corrective update. For the moment, we know that Apple has meanwhile withdrawn iPadOS 18 for iPad Pro models with the M4 chip. This would be a temporary measure.
In the meantime, it seems that the Cupertino company is working on version 18.1which should contain the highly anticipated AppleIntelligencei.e. Apple’s artificial intelligence. To take advantage of that function, however, you will need at least an iPhone 15 Pro, or an iPhone16 or a device with an M1 chip.
The bug in Messages
Hopefully the update will actually fix the bugs found in the Messages app. Not a small problem. Apparently while sharing Apple Watch faces between users, the Messages app crashes and freezes.
The block affects both those who send and those who receive and try to respond.
While waiting for resolution, the only thing that can be done is to cancel the sharing chat, but accepting the loss of data that could be important.
