Battlefield challenges Warzone: here is the RedSec "battle royal" mode

The goal of Battlefield 6 by now it is clear: attack from all sides call of Duty and dethrone him once and for all. Already with the multiplayer – certainly not perfect, but a great step in the right direction – dealt a serious blow to the dominance of Activision’s shooter. And now it has taken things up a notch, with the release of battle royal free RedSec.

As in any other representative of this genre, 100 playersdivided into teams of two or four depending on the mode chosen, launch themselves into a map to explore to collect weapons and equipment, and to win they must eliminate all the other teams. The comparison with Warzone it is immediate, given that even in RedSec the weapons are divided by rarity, there are missions to complete during the match to obtain rewards and you wear Kevlar plates to have armour. They are the differenceshowever, to make the battle royal of Battlefield a unique and much more enjoyable experience than its counterpart.

Most of them lie in EA’s fps fundamentals: the structures are destructible and in the map they are also scattered, in addition to the classic jeeps and quads helicopters, armored And tank. It is possible to gain access to the latter with keys, given as rewards for completing certain missions. Furthermore, the four were retained classes selectable – assault, engineer, support, reconnaissance – each equipped with passive skills and gadgets equipped from the start of the game, such as anti-tank missiles, smoke grenade launchers and supply crates. Also not to be forgotten is the ability to call in air or artillery attacks, as well as a drone to identify enemies.

The thing that intrigued us most, however, is the feeling general of the mode. After just a handful of games, it seems to be somewhere between Warzone and PlayerUnknown’s Battleground: it doesn’t tend too much towards the frenzy of the former or the more cautious approach of the latter, it positions itself in the middle, creating a niche of its own.

An interesting experience for lovers of the genre, to be paired with the much more action-packed classic multiplayer, and a solid foundation on which to build, especially in view of the release of Black Ops 7.
