Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir celebrated his 50th birthday with a very special cake. The ultranationalist politician received a three-tiered cake as a gift where, among other things, a golden noose stood out. The slipknot is a macabre reference to the law approved by the Knesset in March on the death penalty for Palestinians accused of terrorism.

In the images circulating on the web, the minister can be seen admiring a cake given to him by his wife Ayala. In the center there is a decoration, a noose is surrounded by a writing in Hebrew that reads: “Congratulations to Minister Ben Gvir. Sometimes dreams come true”.
In March, the Israeli parliament definitively approved the text of the law which provides for the possibility of sentencing Palestinian prisoners accused of terrorism to death. He was one of the targets of the Israeli far right and Ben Gvir’s party, Otzma Yehudit.
But it didn’t end there, another cake was prepared for the occasion, this time with three tiers. The bottom floor depicted two guns pointed at a map of Israel, which included Gaza and the West Bank, representing his firearms policies, which were significantly relaxed during his tenure as minister.
