The first date part this Thursday 9 MayWith the'Health Innovation Global Forumwhich comes for the first time in Italy thanks to the collaboration between National Technological Cluster Life Sciences – ALISEI And Milan fair with its knowledge unit, Business International. An international event that aims to discuss developments and innovations in the health and life sciences sector which is ai first places in Italy for competitiveness, productivity and investments in research and development.
The added value of the supply chain corresponds to 10% of GDP in Italy and includes a vast number of specializations such as Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine, Bioengineering, Veterinary Medicine, Nutraceuticals and Environmental Sciences. The themes of the Forum, which is held atHuman Technopole Auditorium, inside the MIND – Milano Innovation District, as part of the MIND Innovation Week, aims to bring together public institutions, the business, scientific and academic world, will revolve around the problems and opportunities related to innovation in the healthcare sector: digital health; new diagnostic techniques for the development of precision medicine and for increasingly rapid and accurate prevention screening; the value-based healthcare approach as a tool to make the healthcare system more sustainable.

In autumn, for the second time in three years, Fiera Milano will host CPHI Milanthe largest international event dedicated to pharmaceutical sector. The event is organized by Informa in the Rho exhibition center from 8 to 10 October 2024, after the 2021 edition which recorded excellent results. Italy is among the protagonists in Europe with a production value for the pharmaceutical industry which in 2023 is estimated at around 50 billion euros (Farmindustria estimates). And Lombardy is the first region for industrial presence – and among the main in Europe – with over 100 companies and 24 thousand employees to which must be added 28 thousand in related industries, but also for investments in research and development, which exceed 400 million euro (data source: Nomisma 2023).

In the 2025 instead, Fiera Milano will host the nineteenth edition of the BIO-Europe Spring which will take place in the spaces of Allianz MiCo from 17 to 19 March 2025. Biotechnology in Italy represents a growing sector with over 13 billion in turnover (source: ENEA-Assobiotec 2023 report). The event, organized by EBD Group, an Informa company specialized in the organization of trade fair-congress events dedicated to the life sciences sector, will bring together over 3,600 delegates from all over the world. In particular, more than 20,000 networking meetings, workshops and seminars dedicated to startups and biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies are planned.
