This time the setting will be Sardinia, where on September 5th Brendan Blumer, one of the most important names in the world of cryptocurrencies, and Salvatore Spano from Olbia will get married.

However, the reconstructions do not coincide regarding the circumstances of their first meeting: some sources speak of the Costa Smeralda, when Spano worked in the luxury sector, while La Nuova Sardegna places the beginning of their story in Hong Kong, where the two met for professional reasons.
Who is Brendan Blumer
Born and raised in Iowa in 1986, Brendan Blumer turned 40 on August 8th. He moved to Hong Kong in 2005 and renounced his US citizenship in 2020; Today Forbes he indicates his citizenship as Hong Kong and his residence as the Cayman Islands. His fortune is mainly linked to the world of blockchain and digital assets.
In 2016 he co-founded Block.one, the company that developed the Eos.Io blockchain software. Between June 2017 and June 2018 Block.one raised approximately 4.1 billion dollars through the sale of tokens linked to the Eos project, one of the largest initial coin offerings ever made. In 2019, the company agreed to pay $24 million to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to settle a case related to the failure to register the offering in the United States.
But it is Bullish above all that has transformed Blumer into a billionaire. The cryptocurrency exchange he co-founded landed on the New York Stock Exchange in August 2025, raising approximately $1.1 billion. At its debut, the stock soared well above the placement price and Blumer’s stake took on a value of more than two billion dollars. Today Forbes he estimates his personal wealth at approximately $1.4 billion. According to the latest available SEC filing, Blumer controlled 26.8% of Bullish in January 2026.

The celebrations have somehow already begun. Blumer and Spano in fact participated together with a group of friends at the Gala Night at the Hotel Cala di Volpe, where Katy Perry performed. A seat at the table for the evening cost around 15 thousand euros.

The actual program should come to life on Friday 4 September, with a big party on board the Agata, a ferry moored in the port of Olbia and undergoing transformation work in view of the event. According to rumors gathered by the local press, restaurants and a large stage will be set up on the ship. Among the artists associated with the evening there are Coldplay and Lady Gaga, although the program has not been made official by the spouses. The ship should then move to the waters in front of Capo Figari and the Costa Smeralda.
The following day, Saturday 5 September, the center of the celebrations should move to San Pantaleo, a village in the municipality of Olbia, where the reception is scheduled. According to previews, venues and activities in the town will be largely reserved for guests.
The list of artists also continues to grow. In addition to Lady Gaga and Coldplay, the Sardinian press mentioned the names of Giorgia, Laura Pausini, Kygo and Rita Ora. At the moment, however, these are rumors: Giorgia would be particularly indicated for a performance during the day of San Pantaleo.
A wedding therefore destined to transform Gallura into one of the world capitals of entertainment and luxury for a few days, with a program still shrouded in secrecy and a concentration of stars which, if all the rumors are confirmed, will have few precedents in Sardinia.
