Why amaze that in Alaska, no Zelensky or the European Union have been invited? This has never been a war between Russia and Ukraine.

It is a war between Russia and the USA, in which, daily, Europe loses a lot of money and Ukraine numerous human lives.

Continuing to arm Kiev is an expensive therapeutic fury for a lost war now: so it is worth saving blood and money, instead of unnecessarily prolonging agony, and pushing everyone towards an armistice.
