DAMIANI & BORSALINO UNITED FOR THE MAISON’S 100TH ANNIVERSARY
When two symbolic realities of Made in Italy such as Damiani gioielli and Borsalino, two luxury manufacturing excellences that the whole world envies us, come together it can only be a success. Damiani, the high jewelry brand known throughout the world, and Borsalino, the historic brand that creates luxury handcrafted hats, have created a truly special partnership on the occasion of the Damiani Centenary. A creative project with the creation of three hats made even more precious by the combination with the jewels of three of Damiani’s most iconic collections. For the occasion, Belle Époque was chosen in black, the line inspired by the charm and joy of living of this unique historical period. The cloche features a refined white gold and diamond element on the belt to recall the film strip, a distinctive motif of the collection, and two matching pendants that fall on the sides like earrings. The Sophie hat is paired with Mimosa, an emblem of Damiani’s craftsmanship with stones of different sizes and cuts. This model, made in wood color, is embellished with a chain that surrounds the base of the dome and a necklace shorts, both in rose gold, diamonds and Australian pearls that hang like a precious lace from the hat itself. Then comes Borsalino Baseball, with a sporty character, in amethyst purple, the Maison Damiani has chosen the Margherita collection. The dome of the cap is decorated with ten daisies “points of light” in rose gold, diamonds and amethysts of various sizes.
Damiani jewels are unique works, handcrafted by expert goldsmiths from Valenza. Loved by big stars, but also by new generations of international celebrities, the brand, with its century-old history, continues to arouse emotions. A precious collaboration that has thrilled both Damiani vice president Giorgio Grassi Damiani and Borsalino managing director Mauro Baglietto: “A special collaboration that I am very happy about – explains Damiani – not only do we share the same territory of origin, but also a strong creativity that allows us to reinterpret iconic products, making them always current”.
