The continuous evolution of one of the most used messaging apps in the world, Whatsappwill debut soon with a design renovated but above all a new one function designed to avoid tiring the eyes: this is the announcement that the developers have made in the last few hours, explaining in detail what users should expect.
What is the new mode
Officially it's called “darkest dark mode”: in this way all users will be able to choose whether to apply this new option to make the screen less bright when necessary, for example during the evening to avoid straining the eyes but also when you are in a dark place (for example a cinema or a theater ) and you don't want to disturb the vision of those next to you. In reality, this function already exists, by default, on iOS and Android devices: iPhones have “light” and “dark” modes to be applied at certain times of the day, automatically choosing when the smartphone will have to go into one state rather than the other. 'other. “Reduce eye strain in low-light environments”, is the objective declared by Meta.
A new graphic look
The news doesn't end here because the messaging app has decided to introduce a new one palette with more than 35 different colors even if the strong point remains the green background, an unmistakable and distinctive sign. “Over the years we have mainly focused on adding new tools to the app, and now, as it continues to grow, its design must evolve as well“, explained Meta with a note. News also in sight for users Android: a new lower navigation bar will be available to allow you to quickly find what you are looking for. The function has already been available for some time on iOS operating systems, quickly displaying content, chats and communities.
But there is no lack of news even for those with iPhones as WhatsApp makes it easier to send photos and videos with a new layout, i.e. a graphic design: no longer a full screen “but an expandable tray that will allow you to see options more clearly when sending multimedia, surveys, documents and more”.
What changes with icons
In the latest update of May 3, WhatsApp explains that screen sharing during video calls “now also supports audio sharing“: new illustrations updated and notifications and buttons”they are green in color“. Meta reports that, despite the updates already available, these functions will only be fully operational in the next few weeks.
Finally, WhatsApp will soon also show a new style of its own icons (more rounded) also updating one background default in your chats.
