Dear anti-Trump, are you real or are you pretending?

The Roman dialect “Are you there or are you doing it?”. This is the expression that comes to mind when I hear and read the comments, invariably, for nine years now, the same in tone and substance, of journalists following the speeches and interventions in the debates of Donald Trump. Basically, “how rude, quarrelsome, awkward, unsuitable and unfit for the role this parvenu is. It is impossible that anyone, other than the ‘deplorables’ as Hillary Clinton called them in 2016, would vote for him!”.

Well, and they should know it very well – it is because they do not show it that I repeat the aforementioned “Are you real or are you doing it?” – even the refined envoys of the New York Times and of the Washington Post rather than the networks (and cascading European media employees), in the circumstances mentioned, Donald Trump – and generally a shrewd politician – is not talking to them, he has no intention of ingratiating himself with them. To some extent, the opposite.

In that case, expressing himself publicly, he addresses himself with the ways and languages he deems most effective first of all to their supporters to comfort them, reinforcing the common feeling. Then, to those who, undecided, can in some way and in the context converge.
Never, for any reason, to the thousands and thousands who are ideally and politically aligned with the other side.

First among all the commentators indicated above whose sudden appreciation would greatly concern him. Let these suffering souls finally realize – “What do they have to endure, my Lady!?” – that their new york chic vote is worth exactly as much as that of the housewife from Boise, Idaho, perhaps of Basque origins, busy at the same time plucking a chicken for dinner!

Ps: I have previously discussed the importance of the Basques in the exploration and albeit small-scale colonization of the New World as well as their presence in Boise, Idaho.
