Don't talk about crackers on Instagram: that's why you risk censorship

News coming soon for Instagram. According to the latest news released, a new function will be released very soon that will allow you to reset content suggestions, leading the algorithm to start from scratch, based on the user’s new preferences. This feature is currently in the testing phase, but will be gradually released very soon, so as to gather first impressions from users.

Starting from scratch

In essence, users of the social platform, tired of the usual suggested contents (contents which, perhaps, no longer attract their interest), will be able to act freely, pushing thealgorithm to start from scratch, relearning the user’s preferences. At the moment this function is still in the testing phase, but everything suggests that it will be made available very soon.

The goal is to carry out a real reset which eliminates all the data previously stored and used by the Instagram algorithm to understand user preferences and recommend similar content accordingly. You will therefore be able to act on what will be proposed in the Explore, Reels and Feed sections, starting from scratch. Once the reset has been received, the contents suggested up to that moment will be eliminated and the algorithm will have to start examining the existing data again to provide new proposals. Not only that. Users will also be able to take advantage of the opportunity to intervene on the list of followed accounts, choosing to remove those that are no longer of interest to them.

The new ones suggestionsthey explain from Instagram, will reform over time, presenting themselves with new content.

Instagram ready to learn again

Clearly we will need to be patient in the early stages, because Instagram will have to start from scratch, and initially it will not have much content to offer.

This is said by one of the managers of the platform, Adam Mosseri. This function, designed specifically for younger people, is part of that series of interventions in favor of the protection and safety of children.
