On 30 August the Manchester police had to intervene in the suburban district of Salford due to a road accident. Once the officers arrived on site they found a half-destroyed Ferrari 296. The driver was unharmed, but will have to say goodbye to his luxury car.
The ironic comment
The accident occurred along the M602. In all likelihood, according to what was reported by local authorities, the driver would have lost control due to the wet asphalt. Ferrari got the worst of it: the bonnet was destroyed, part of the front was completely deformed, one front wheel was bent and the other was even detached. Police shared a photo of the luxury car, commenting: “Unfortunately this morning there is one less Ferrari 296 in the world.”
The authorities then recalled the rules of safe driving: adapting speed and driving style to the conditions of the asphalt. A banal indication, perhaps, but which is also valid when you are behind the wheel of a Ferrari worth hundreds of thousands of euros. The 296 is a supercar with over 800 horsepower and is certainly not a car designed to go slowly.
