Italian excellence is unique in the world

Dear Director Feltri,
a little reflection on this wonderful country that is Italy, after the excellent results obtained at the Paris Olympics, after the constant increase in employment and the decrease in unemployment, after the increase in tourists who come to our country for the cuisine, for the museums, for the natural beauty. Yesterday I heard that Italy has significantly increased its exports of goods and services, overtaking Japan and conquering 4th place in the world. Credit goes to all Italians, but without a doubt also to the government that leads the country, in the face of all the catastrophists who wrote Italy off as lost.
Best regards

Dear Angel,
I’ve always said it: Italians have a natural tendency to complain but they live in the best country in which one can be lucky enough to be born and live. I’m not saying that we don’t have problems, bad habits, deformations, that we don’t know distortions, some dangerously gangrenous, injustices, critical issues, but the fact is that in these parts we enjoy an excellent climate, a cuisine that is considered the best in the world, certainly the healthiest and richest, an infinite variety of food and wine products appreciated and sought after globally, guaranteed freedoms that elsewhere, even in those systems that call themselves “democratic”, are too often violated and trampled upon, although the left here blathers about the alarm of fascism, our model of society still puts the family at the center, a social cell that with its network of support and care is considered, according to experts, an essential element to ensure the individual’s quality of life and well-being. After all, it is no coincidence that Italy is one of the countries where people live the longest and the number of centenarians is constantly growing. According to the latest available Istat data, they, who enjoy vitality and health, amount to over 22 thousand, this is the historical peak, but next year they will have risen further. This evidence confirms that healthcare works and that our eating habits as well as our lifestyle are highly healthy.

Continue? Good. While our neighbors are afflicted by the phenomenon of Islamic terrorism, we are calm, we have never suffered attacks of this type and our intelligence, which is considered perhaps the most effective and prepared at a universal level, is able to identify potential terrorists well before they can act and carry out their criminal plans. Italy is a safe nation, where the number of murders decreases year after year, although progressives persist with their propaganda, which would like our country to be the cradle of patriarchy, where it is a widespread practice to kill and abuse women. Which is false. If anything, patriarchy is Islamic and is imported to our parts by those immigrants who do not intend to integrate (while we intend to give them citizenship as well) and who cultivate a conception of women as objects to be possessed and controlled as well as subjects without the right to self-determination, a sort of slave over whom to exercise absolute power. And then we have endless kilometers of coastline, beautiful beaches, we are bathed by three seas, the Ionian, the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian, but we also have hills, valleys, countryside, mountains, lakes. We are not poor in anything. So it is not surprising that Italy is the most popular tourist destination for the world population. Everyone wants to come to Italy, visit it or live there, for the history, the culture, the art, the museums, including the open-air ones, I think, for example, of the monuments of the city of Rome alone, such as the Colosseum, or the excavations of Pompeii, kilometers and square kilometers of an ancient city in which it is possible to walk taking a dive into the past, a dive of thousands of years. You can only do it here.

We are so immersed in this spectacularity and this wonder that we are totally accustomed to it, like someone who can no longer smell the perfume they have on, even after having bathed in it. And we focus only on what is wrong, what does not work, what should be changed. However, this is not our most serious limitation, but rather the tendency to constantly take others as models, that is, other States and other peoples, believing that they are better than us or that they do better than us. We are worth a lot but we continually underestimate and devalue ourselves, complicit in the political classes of the past that have made Italy a vassal nation in Europe, while we are and can aspire to be a leading nation. In Europe and outside of Europe itself. And this is what Giorgia Meloni has always wanted for our country, well before she was appointed prime minister. I remember her passion in speaking about Italy, about the homeland, a love that was even passionate, faithful, noble, that this woman poured into her political commitment, into her work as Prime Minister. Italy is expanding thanks to this love here.

You see, Angiolo, love is useful in everything. To make and raise children, to induce a plant to bloom, to create. And also to make a country prosper.

The truth is that without love nothing is possible. And with love everything becomes possible.
