Made by Google 2024: Pixel 9, Pixel Watch 3 and more. All the news announced by Big G

This year too Google she succeeded: “Made by Google”, the annual event during which the company presents its main innovations, did not disappoint expectations. What was surprising were not only the new products announced and soon available on the market, but also the organization of the event itself.

Big G, in fact, has both decided to bring forward the event by a couple of months (in 2022 it was held in October), and to organize two separate events: one keynoteduring which the actual presentation of the products took place, and a “after-party”, a party attended by important international performers. Both were broadcast live on YouTube from Mountain View.

Even before the event on August 13, however, experts had leaked numerous rumors, especially about the new Pixels. During the presentation these were largely confirmed, in fact the new Pixel 9The Pixel Watch 3 and the Pixel Buds Pro 2Below we provide you with their main characteristics.

Made by Google 2024: New Google Pixel 9 Announced

The new ones Pixel 9 are officially a reality. In fact, Google announced them during the Keynote of the event on August 13, explaining that they will be revolutionary devices. Making them unique will be the great protagonist of our times: theartificial intelligence. The smartphones coming to the market, in particular, will be 4: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Let’s see their main features:

The Pixel 9 will be equipped with a 6.3” OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2424 pixels. The processor, on the other hand, will be the new Tensor G4 designed to significantly improve the performance of the device, while the Titan M2 will be the security one for all devices. Internally, the Pixel 9 will be able to count on 12GB RAM And 128 GB or 256 GB of storage space, depending on the needs of the person purchasing it.

It will also be able to accommodate two SIMs, a nano and an eSim. The operating system will be Android 14 and, of course, it will support 5G. As for the cameras, the front one will be 10.5 MP, while the rear ones will be 50 MP, the main one, and 48 MP the ultra-wide angle. This brilliant photographic compartment will allow you to shoot videos up to 4K, while on the Pro devices up to 8K. Finally, the battery is 4,700 mAh, so quite resistant, and it recharges very quickly: 55% in just 30 minutes.

The Pixel 9 Pro has some things in common with the previous model, but the differences are the main ones. Some practical examples are the design, more squared in the high-end models, and the memory: the RAM is from 16 GBwhile storage space reaches up to 1TB. But that’s not all: the photographic sector is also more powerful: on this smartphone the front camera is a good 42 MP and on the back it has an extra one, a good 48 MP.

The Pixel 9 Pro XL It offers those who purchase it almost the same features as the previous model but with certainly more generous dimensions: the display, in this case, in fact, measures 6.8” and has a greater weight: 199g (Pixel 9 and 9 Pro) against the 221g of this. The battery on this device, finally, is more powerful than the previous model, it is in fact 5,060 mAh (against 4,700 mAh), which allows for a recharge of the 70% in just 30 minutes.

Finally, it is necessary to make a separate discussion about the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This smartphone, in fact, despite having some features in common with the other smartphones of the family, is very different. Let’s start with the screen: being a “fold” smartphone, which opens “like a book” (while remaining very subtle), the displays are therefore very large. To be precise, the internal display is an 8″ OLED with a resolution of 2076×2152 pixels, while the external one is a 6.3” OLED with a resolution of 1080×2424 pixels.

Furthermore, the photographic sector is of particular interest to fans of this type of smartphone: it has two front cameras, both 10 MP, and four rear cameras: the main one of 48 MP, the ultra-wide angle of 10.5 MP, another of 10.8 MP and one capable of making quality videos up to 4K. The battery, which recharges very quickly, is 4,650 mAh.

The Pixel 9s are pre-order from August 13th and will cost respectively:

Pixel 9: €899 (128 GB) or €999 (256 GB);

Pixel 9 Pro: €1,099 (128 GB), €1,199 (256 GB) and €1,329 (512 GB);

Pixel 9 Pro XL: €1,199 (128 GB), €1,299 (256 GB) and €1,429 (512 GB);

Pixel 9 Pro Fold (not available in Italy): €1,899 (256 GB) €2,029 (512 GB).

Shipments will start on August 22nd. The available colors, for now, are: Obsidian Black, Clay Gray, Matcha Green, and Peony Pink for the Pixel 9 and Obsidian Black, Clay Gray, Matcha Green, and Rose Quartz for the Pro and Pro XL.

All models will have Gemini Nano, Google’s artificial intelligence created specifically to enhance smartphones and make their use even more intelligent. This can now also be used while using another app at the same time, making contextual questions to what is being viewed on the screen.

Pro models will also be able to enjoy a free year of Gemini AdvancedGoogle’s most powerful artificial intelligence. This will allow access to one of the most interesting innovations presented during the event: Gemini Livea chatbot capable of communicating with the user in real time and in a totally natural way.

But the news clearly doesn’t end there: thanks to the work done by Google on Gemini, the company’s artificial intelligence is now able to help users even more. For example, thanks to the photo editing function “Add me“, you can add yourself to photos after you take them. Or, if necessary, users can take advantage of this powerful technology to edit photos that have imperfections. Finally, the “night mode“, allowing you to take better photos and videos in the dark.

Made By Google, smartphones and more: the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 are also coming

To the Made By Google Not only powerful smartphones were presented, but also new accessories, namely the Pixel Watch 3 and the Pixel Buds Pro 2The first one is available in two variables: one from 41” and one from 45”. What differentiates them is not only the size, but also the battery power: the first one can count on the one from 307mAhwhile the second from 420mAh. Despite this difference, the battery life declared by the manufacturer is the same: 24 hours of use and 36 in standby. As for the display, this can reach a brightness of 2,000 nits.

Furthermore, for both, the internal memory is quite capacious. 32 GBwhile the RAM is 2 GB. This smartwatch is particularly recommended for those who actively practice sports: it is in fact able to monitor training progress accurately and to report any irregularities of the user.

Thanks to the app connected to the device and downloadable on your smartphone, you can also monitor the quality of your sleep and the progress made during your efforts. Finally, the usability of the device has been greatly improved: now you can keep an eye on the mapshis own Google Nestor use your own wallet. When purchasing the new Pixel Watch 3buyers have access to 6 free months of Fitbit Premium to monitor your workouts and ask for advice from expert coaches, after which the service becomes paid.

As for the new ones Pixel Buds Pro 2even in this case we are faced with some interesting novelties. The first that must be underlined is that inside them beats a new chip: the Tensor A1which allows them to offer extremely advanced audio quality. Furthermore, thanks to it, the Buds Pro 2 can integrate perfectly with Gemini and assist the user without having to make the slightest effort, whether he is training or that he is working. By the way, thanks to their system of noise cancellationthey are also excellent for working, since they allow complete isolation, even twice as effective of the previous model.

Furthermore, there is no need to be afraid of losing them, since thanks to the new internal stabilizer, it will be sufficient to insert them into the ear and rotate them slightly to ensure that the adhesion to the ear increases considerably. Their duration, at least according to the estimates offered by Google, is 12 hours of use or 48 hours thanks to the charging case. The hours drop to 8 and a half if the sound cancellation is activated during use.
