Smartphones that are defined as true AI Phones and which feature a renewed design and are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity mobile platform 7300-Energy at 4 nm, created exclusively for the Chinese company. Because the Reno12 are AI Phones
To integrate artificial intelligence features into its smartphones, Oppo has teamed up with Google, Microsoft, MediaTek and other partners, thus accelerating the spread of AI technology. The Reno12 and Reno12 Pro models introduce a series of generative intelligence features useful for various everyday uses. For example, thanks to AI Eraser, users can easily remove distracting elements in their photos with a simple tap, thanks to the feature's ability to automatically identify unwanted people and objects.
Both devices also have two AI features to improve group photos. AI Clear Face improves the definition of details of the face, hair and eyebrows, ensuring exceptional clarity even for people furthest from the camera. AI Best Face, on the other hand, automatically identifies subjects with closed eyes in photos and uses artificial intelligence to open their eyes, thus improving every shot. For creative users, AI Studio allows you to create digital avatars or artistic portraits from a single photo. And with GenAI's capabilities, it is possible to transform into characters of various styles, such as cowboys or cyberpunk manga protagonists, offering a creative experience.
In addition to improving photos, the Reno12 series also uses artificial intelligence to deliver greater efficiency and creativity. Based on the Google Gemini language model, AI Toolbox is an intelligent sidebar feature that includes AI Write, AI Speak, and AI Summary. These features use powerful recognition capabilities to understand on-screen content and suggest appropriate AI actions, such as quickly generating content for social media or summarizing long articles.
Finally, in the Recording app, the AI Recording Summary function allows you to extract text summaries from voice recordings, organizing them as notes. This allows you to quickly transcribe to-do lists, times, locations and other details, formatting them simply and intuitively to improve readability.
Elegant design and durable display
OPPO smartphones are known for their elegant design, and the Reno12 series is no exception. Both models feature a glass back panel with the Fluid Ripple texture, creating a three-dimensional effect of rippling water. In addition to the classic silver, the Reno12 is also available in the Black Brown color, while the Reno12 Pro offers the Nebula Black variant with a two-tone matte-gloss design.
The Reno12 Pro model introduces the Infinite View Screen, a display with a micro-curve design that combines the aesthetics of a curved screen with the convenience of a flat screen. This 6.7-inch, 120Hz OLED display offers immersive viewing and protects your eyes from harmful blue light. Additionally, Reno12 is the first smartphone in the world to use Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, offering advanced protection against drops, impacts and scratches. With IP65 certification, both models are dust and water resistant, ensuring exceptional robustness even in the harshest conditions.
The features in particular
On the photographic side, the main “eye” of the Reno12 and 12 Pro is equipped with a Sony LYT-600 sensor with omnidirectional autofocus and optical stabilization, for sharp and detailed shots. Both models also have a Portrait mode with 2x zoom and a new 50 megapixel Selfie Camera with autofocus and AI retouching for perfect selfies.
The platform is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy, with four A78 cores for high performance and four A55 cores for efficiency. It offers exceptional performance and low power consumption thanks to ColorOS Trinity Engine. The battery is 5,000mAh with support for 80W fast charging: full charging takes place in 46 minutes, and in just 18 minutes it reaches 49%. Finally, AI LinkBoost improves signal reception and optimizes network selection.
