Some time ago I discussed with an American friend of the future of our species. Patrick Reasonver (fantastic Giacobino name) explained to me, in a very eloquent way, that the food that we will eat in the coming decades will change our perception of creation forever. No, he was not worried about the health issue, but of the report of humans with respect to food. I reconstruct his reasoning that struck me a lot.
“Imagine one or two generations that feed on non -animal meat, fish created from nothing … what will happen? No relationship between food and death! For millennia men were perfectly aware of the fact that feeding and killing were one et idembut soon this relationship between food and death will disappear. We will feed on cells that have never been alive and we will not accept death to feed us or our children. We will be unaware vegan ”.
A few days ago I was talking to a dear Sicilian friend of the inexorable decline of the mafia in the last thirty years. I naively attributed it to a series of changes that had made our society enormously transparent during the nineties. The mafia, as well as the Bierre or first Limea, could not survive the society of the Occhiuta surveillance, to the thousand and a thousand cameras that from Milan to Capo Passero accompany our lives up to a false complaint.

Today we have a rather elderly man who guides the most important political community of human history. Whether or not liked – and in Europe the liking is very low, but the Europeans in general know the United States as much as I the Chad, with the difference that I never talk about the Chad – President Donald Trump is considered almost by everyone a “bully”. And why it is obvious: after half a century of demesconization of the human universe, any leading man behavior of a leading country can only be seen as “bullying”.
In Breva, our species is losing any connection between food and death, masculinity and leadership, planetary power and political assertiveness. We would like a America and its president who act like Costa Rica, a hunter who goes to the cell supermarket, a fisherman who no longer runs the seas. And whoever behaves instead as in a nineteenth -century man’s script, would be nothing more than suffering from toxic masculinity or by imperial presidency out of time.
My friends, if Sydney Sweeney makes you understand in an eternal moment what it means to be what you are without having to apologize to anyone, you should finally understand that there is nothing toxic in America, in Donald Trump, in masculinity and in killing to feed.
