News coming soon for YouTube thanks to some updates from Google, which promises to make the experience on the famous video platform even more pleasant and engaging. While on the one hand it seems that it will be more difficult to avoid interruptions caused by advertising, on the other hand, interesting new functions are being prepared that should improve the user experience.
A first point on which Google has decided to intervene is the playback speedwhich will come under the full control of users. In practice, if it was previously possible to increase or reduce the speed of a movie based on increments of x0.25, things will soon change. Google has in fact decided to give greater possibility of intervention to users, who will be able to increase or reduce the speed of videos by moving even just 0.05, which will guarantee greater freedom. In short, it will be a very useful innovation. The maximum speed, however, will still remain fixed at x2. No changes of any kind are foreseen at the moment.
Improvements also regarding the miniplayerappreciable when we have Pip mode active. Essentially, users will be able to change the size whenever and however they want, moving the box on the screen until they find their favorite position.
But it doesn’t end here, because among the various improvements coming there will also be updates for the famous ones playlist. Apparently from now on you will be able to create and share compilations with other people. In fact, relatives and friends will be able to insert videos as they wish, with the possibility, in the future, of giving a vote to the videos uploaded by others. Apparently, to share the compilation it will be sufficient to send the associated link to whoever we want to invite, and wait. In the future, sharing directly on Smart TV is expected, with the simple exchange of QR Codes.
Finally, You Tube would come up with a new timer for those who like to listen to very long videos. In practice, it will be possible to set an automatic interruption of the movie at the minute we want, for example after a certain number of hours. Think of the Asmr videos listened to on the platform to relax or induce sleep.
With the new feature, you can tell YouTube to stop the video after a period of time between 10 and 60 minutes. Launched as a feature for Premium subscribers only, the ability to stop videos will be available to everyone.
