Poland beats Italy in terms of GDP growth 3 to 1. Check out the charts!
After the success of an article in which I showed how the percentage share of Italian GDP among industrialized countries has halved in 10 years and therefore advised readers’ children to escape from our country, I propose below two very interesting graphs.
The first one shows the change in GDP quarter-on-quarter. between the last one available today and the beginning of COVID. As you can see we are positioned behind countries that we might think are unsuitable such as Poland, Bulgaria and Lithuania (on the latter I have a very good opinion having visited it several times and having several friends).
But if we analyze the spending of the national government in Research and Development initiatives it makes you want to cry … and this is the second graph. Show it to your children above all for one reason: research and development expenses weigh on future GDP growth and therefore … watch out for your pens!
