The Psychologist bonus represents a fundamental measure to help people support their expenses for psychotherapy sessions. With the 2025 Budget Law, the Government has decided to refinance it with an allocation of 9.5 million euros and, above all, to make it one stable measurementavoiding the need for annual renewals. How much has been allocated for the next few years

For 2025, the fund will amount to 9.5 million euros. In 2026, the figure will fall to 8.5 million, before rising again to 9 million in 2027. Starting from 2028, the Government has foreseen a annual allocation Of 8 million euros. Although these sums guarantee the continuity of the bonus, they remain far from satisfying the real needs of those who request it.

To date, the 2024 Psychologist Bonus cannot yet be requested. To understand the activation times, look at what happened for the bonus 2023: INPS opened applications between March and May 2024, using resources allocated to the previous year. This means that even for 2024 it is likely that requests can only be started during 2025.

Who can benefit from the bonus and for what amount

The bonus is aimed at whom requires psychological support and its value varies based on the applicant’s ISEE. Here is how the amounts are divided: for those with an ISEE of up to 15,000 euros, 50 euros per session, up to a maximum of 1,500 euros; for those with an ISEE between 15,000 and 30,000 euros: 50 euros per session, up to a maximum of 1,000 euros; for those with an ISEE between 30,000 and 50,000 euros: 50 euros per session, up to a maximum of 500 euros.

Anyone who exceeds the ISEE threshold of 50,000 euros is not entitled to the bonus. The amounts were calculated taking into account the average rates of a session of psychotherapy, which are around 50 euros, and cover a maximum of 30 sessions. Once obtained, the bonus must be used within 270 days.

How to submit the application

The procedure for requesting the psychologist bonus is: pretty simple and takes place entirely through the INPS portal. You need to access the INPS website with Spid, Cie or Cns, enter the “Benefits and services” section, then choose “Access point to non-pension benefits”; then select the item “Contribution to psychotherapy sessions” and fill out the application. Alternatively, it is possible to request the bonus via the INPS contact center.

Once the request window is closed, the institution will proceed draw up the rankings and to communicate the outcome to the applicants. In your personal area of ​​the portal, you will be able to check the amount recognized and access the unique code needed to use the bonus.

How to use the bonus
