The wireless vacuum cleaner is now an indispensable ally in every house. We are talking about the Rowenta X-Force Flex 14.80which we tried in its Animal Care version.
Unboxing and design
With its elegant black color, the Rowenta X-Force Flex 14.80 Animal Care is presented with a rich equipment of accessories. There main brush motorized, versatile for all surfaces, including rugs, is equipped with a practice LED light which reveals every grain of dust and an anti-strip roller. To complete, we find one Mini motorized brushalso with LEDs and anti-strip roller, perfect for collecting hair and sofas crumbs and other fabric surfaces. The package also includes a flat spear nozzle with two integrated brushes and a soft bristle brush for delicate fabrics. All accessories hook to the engine body or horny tube with a simple click. Complete the equipment a wall charging base to store the vacuum cleaner in an orderly way. The digital display allows you to monitor the battery charge and select between the aspiration methods (Eco, Max, Boost) or activate the automatic program. The handle, positioned on the head of the engine body, ensures an ergonomic and comfortable socket.
The test
For several weeks, the Rowenta X-Force Flex 14.80 was our partner in daily challenges: from dirt common to the most stubborn residues left by home work or, as often happens with the little ones, kinetic sand or other games. In each scenario, the vacuum cleaner has shown precision and efficiency, reaching every corner with ease. The real protagonist is the flexible tube: just a press a button to make it fold, allowing you to suck under low furniture without having to bend down.
The LED light turned out to be extremely useful, illuminating the path and ensuring not to leave out even the smallest residue, such as the flour scattered after a biscuits preparation session. Even without pets, the Mini Turbo brush showed its effectiveness in cleaning the sofa from the post-Merenda crumbs. The soft toothbrushes, usable with or without a tube, proved to be perfect for the finishes and cleaning the shelves.
The vacuum cleaner is light and easy to handle: although to suck high with tube and main brush two hands are needed, with smaller accessories and without the flex tube, it is possible to operate with one hand. The ignition takes place through a comfortable single button, avoiding the need to keep it pressed during use.
The suction power of 240 Air Watts is remarkable. The battery – removable – guaranteed sufficient autonomy for cleaning a medium -sized three -room apartment, even if prolonged use in boost mode requires more attention to the charge level. A complete recharge takes about 3 hours, and we have never had to stop cleaning in half.
Maintenance
The maintenance of Rowenta X-Force Flex 14.80 is in line with that of similar devices. The transparent tank, very large and washable, allows you to easily monitor the amount of dirt accumulated and is simple to disassemble and empty without dirty. The filters, also washable, are not firmly fixed and, at least the first few times, it is advisable to pay attention to avoid extracting them inadvertently. The brushes are very simple to disassemble and clean.
What we liked (and what not)
The Rowenta X-Force Flex 14.80 is positioned as an excellent mid-range vacuum cleaner. With a recommended price of 499.99 euros (but currently available on the manufacturer’s website for 399.99 euros in the Animal Care version), it offers performance that make it competitive even with high -end models. Its ease of maneuver and the ability to reach the most hidden corners are noteworthy, as well as – not insignificant detail – the removable battery that can be easily satisfied. The flex tube undoubtedly represents its greatest strength, making it extremely practical in each cleaning scenario.
An improved small detail would be the aspiration even backwards, a functionality in any case absent even in more famous brands. The intuitive display and the ease of attachment and release of the accessories make it an accessible and functional device for everyone.
