Stellantis has announced new appointments in the organization of the Enlarged Europe division, which will be effective starting from 1 September 2026. Among the changes, Olivier François will move to the role of strategic advisor for the group’s marketing, after having been CEO of Fiat and Abarth for 15 years and global chief marketing officer of Stellantis, as well as CEO of Lancia since 2007.
Why Stellantis gets rid of car sharing (it had no alternatives)
Belloni’s new role
As part of the reorganization, Arnaud Belloni has been chosen as the new CEO of the Fiat, Abarth and Lancia brands and chief marketing officer for Europe, taking over from François, who will support him until mid-October to ensure a smooth transition and will continue to support Stellantis as a strategic advisor.
In the past, Belloni had already worked for 16 years at Stellantis managing the marketing strategy for its Italian and French brands, while since November 2020 he has held the role of global chief marketing officer of the Renault group, and that of chief branding officer for all the brands of the French group since May 2023.
Among other appointments announced by the group, Xavier Chardon has been chosen as CEO of the DS Automobiles brand in addition to his current responsibility as CEO of Citroën, a role he has held since June 2025. Xavier Peugeot has been chosen as head of the Jeep brand in Europe, a newly created position that reports directly to the chief operating officer of the Enlarged Europe region. Roberta Zerbi will finally focus her activity on Customer Journey Excellence and Network Development.
Thorel and Diot
As a result, the Commercial Operations Enlarged Europe department, headed by Maurizio Zuares, has been reorganised: Gaetano Thorel has been appointed head of the Lancia brand for Enlarged Europe, in addition to his current responsibility for Fiat and Abarth Enlarged Europe, reporting functionally to Arnaud Belloni. Laurent Diot has been chosen as brand manager DS Automobiles Enlarged Europe, in addition to his current responsibility for Citroën Enlarged Europe, reporting functionally to Xavier Chardon. Fabio Catone was finally confirmed as responsible for Enlarged Europe for the Jeep, Ram and Dodge brands, reporting functionally to Xavier Peugeot.
“One step towards Fastlane 2030”
“These appointments”, explained Emanuele Cappellano, COO Enlarged Europe, in a note, “represent a further fundamental step in accelerating the implementation of our Fastlane 2030 strategic plan”, laying “the foundations for a European marketing vision focused on creativity and innovation, strengthening Jeep’s growth path through dedicated leadership and more clearly defining the positioning of Lancia and DS Automobiles as specialist brands, preserving their distinctive identities and, at the same time, strengthening their the integration with Fiat and Citroën respectively”.
