Time spent at home, for people elderlyhas enormous value and ensuring that they can spend as much of it as possible surrounded by their everyday objects is the goal of anyone working to improve the well-being of the over-age population. Techboard Group worked for two years towards this goal and through intense research and development created a system to entertain and monitor elderly people self-sufficient. Staying at home for elderly people has undoubted advantages in the management and care of the subjects, acting positively on the psychological and physical aspect. Techboard Group has developed a next-generation care solution that combines the technologies most advanced at the moment with the benefits that the constant assistance of a remote person can bring, combined with an operational center that is always active.
The solution is called Care-Tb and one of its most appreciated peculiarities is its low invasiveness. Tested for months with extremely convincing results, the system appears to be the simple and immediate solution to meet the needs of a self-sufficient elderly person who, however, requires normal assistance in his daily life. The idea of developing a tool of this type was born above all in response to the changing habits of the social fabric where, as the INPS also certifies, more and more elderly people live alone. The latest findings have shown that the single-person families in our country they represent over 33% of the overall family population. New dynamics require new efforts and it is in this direction that the work of Techboard Group is going, which has been able to develop a system which, although highly technological, does not require specific skills to be used.
To use Care Tb to its full potential, the assistance of one is sufficient trained person that follows the daily process and supports the instrumentation. The two video terminals and the specific software represent the strong point of the system, which allows the user a constant two-way dialogue, at any time of day or night, with real assistants, a fundamental element for sociality of the elderly. All this is supported by the remote control system, active 24 hours a day with high definition cameras operational even in low light conditions. “For some years now we have decided to invest heavily in research and innovation, looking for new spaces and making use of the great experience we have gained in both the electronics and video surveillance sectors.“, has explained Fabio Malagoli, CEO of Techboard Group. “In the Silver Economy sector, there seems to be a space that does not yet find an answer that meets expectations. From here we began working on the Care-Tb project to offer a concrete solution to the needs of self-sufficient elderly people“, concludes the note.
