The breakouts of the past no longer exist: the case of the CostCo stock on the Nasdaq

It is true: the breakouts of the past no longer exist.

The markets have become more volatile, more “noisy” and if you buy when it breaks you risk finding yourself on the wrong side of the market and getting kicked out.

It happens, it happened, it will happen. A clear case was the American stock CostCo which we did not buy at the break of the congestion with 3 inverted Vs (see image below) and we waited for it to reverse to enter the retracement, something that always scares many readers, including me .

But it has gone well (at least so far) and has returned to the highs.

We’ll see how it evolves.
