An important news arrives on the instant messaging platform WhatsApp. The developers have in fact introduced the “incognito” function for those who participate in chats. A way to protect privacy and prevent data from being tracked.
There “incognito” function it was in fact developed specifically to allow interaction with Meta, without however leaving any traces. Messages shared via chat must not be used in any other way, even if it is to increase or personalize the service. The result of this improvement is that chats with Meta AI will be truly temporary when the “incognito” function is active. All content of the conversations will then be deleted. So it will be a sort of private browsing within the platform. In this circumstance, all Meta AI functions will not be operational and will not retain memory.
At the moment we are talking about a function that is still in the development phase. It seems clear, however, that there is a desire to guarantee maximum privacy protection to users who request it. We don’t know when it will be distributed: it is currently being examined by the first beta testers who have received the Android beta update number 2.25.28.1.
While waiting for the new function to be extended to everyone, it is worth remembering that Meta AI saves all shared personal details in the chatbot memory. This is to allow Artificial Intelligence to provide personalized responses. Once the “incognito” function is available, then it will be possible to intervene, and no personal information will be recorded.
All you need is a little more patience, then everyone will be able to use the service they prefer, with memory or not. According to the leaked information, to activate the “incognito” mode you will have to set it manually: at that point the data will no longer be tracked.
