"The Meloni government occupies RAI". Because Al Jazeera's story is a sensational hoax

We just missed it Al Jazeera to shoot nonsense. The Qatari broadcaster has gained notoriety in left-wing circles in the last few hours forattack reserved for government driven by Giorgia Meloni: the alleged attempt to lay hands on the Rai, starting from the employee strike and passing through the non-existent censorship of Antonio Scurati and his anti-fascist monologue. The usual mud against the government, nothing new. But what is surprising more than anything else is the components of this one hoaxwhich unmask the instrumental intent of the Qatari media.

A fact: Al Jazeera's reconstruction is based only on what was stated by Republic And The print. We are not talking about facts, but about rumors. Of voices. And as we know we are not talking about two pro-government newspapers, on the contrary: any excuse is good to throw mud on Meloni & Co. to revive the fortunes of a left that is close to the abyss. Among the many articles cited, the one with the internal RAI document which supposedly motivates the decision to censor Scurati with “editorial reasons”. But when addressing a topic, all sources should be considered, not just one part. Mostly deployed.

About Scurati. Al Jazeera's story is a hoax because obviously there never was any gag for the writer obsessed with Benito Mussolini. A censorship so obvious that Rai had taken care to buy return train tickets (first class, obviously) and a night at the River Chateau hotel in Rome for the (not so) martyr.

And again, in its in-depth analysis Al Jazeera forgot to mention another not insignificant detail, perhaps out of ignorance or perhaps because it conflicts with the narrative: the government parties have always occupied state television. Every executive, even technical or national unity, wanted to have a say in the appointments. It's politics, baby. The triumph of the spoils system. And it's not just about the right, on the contrary. We saw firsthand the left's desire to command, far from willing to leave crumbs to the opposition. Finally, a necessary clarification: Repubblica can boast as much as it wants about Al Jazeera's quotes and can enjoy the foreign attack on the government to the point of exhaustion. But we must not forget that we are talking about a media considered close to Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist group that has committed horrific crimes. On more than one occasion – Israel has accused the leaders of making propaganda for their adversaries. And it is no coincidence that Doha finances the organization. In short, a little calm before opening the champagne…
