Giulio Curatella, national culture manager of “Il Mondo al Contrario”, talks about the new patriotic and technological avant-garde.

Curatella, you are the national culture manager of the Il Mondo al Contrario movement. Where does this challenge come from?

It was born from an urgency: that of giving culture a soul back. For too long Italy has been a prisoner of a single, elitist and ideological thought. I believe that culture must become popular again, with an identity, embodied in people’s real lives. My task is to transform values into experiences, languages and projects that speak to the heads and hearts of Italians.

Q. You often use technology and artificial intelligence in your projects. Why should a sovereignist rely on such “globalist” tools?

Because AI is not globalist in itself — it depends on who uses it and in what spirit. I use it as a cultural weapon: to liberate, not to standardize. Artificial intelligence can multiply human creativity if guided by vision. It’s like an amplifier: if you put identity, faith and courage inside, what comes out is ten times stronger.

A very popular project, made with AI: “Charlie – Man of Freedom”, the song dedicated to Charlie Kirk, American leader of the MAGA movement. Why this choice?

Because Charlie represents that new generation of Western patriots who are not ashamed to say who they are.
With “Charlie – Man of Freedom” I wanted to pay homage to a way of understanding politics as a mission and cultural battle. Let us not imitate the Americans, but let us learn from those who have been able to break down the barriers of single thought.
It is an ideal bridge between two worlds that share the same thirst for freedom.

You often talk about “techno-right”. What does this mean concretely?

It means a right that is not afraid of the future.
A right that knows how to use digital tools, AI, music, visual language to spread ideas.
For too long we have limited ourselves to defending: now it is time to conquer.
The techno-right is the identity vanguard of the 21st century.

Among his projects there is also the Patriots Project. What is it about?

It is a cultural and artistic platform that combines painting, music and words.
We hosted exhibitions, poetry readings, performances — all inspired by the values of European patriotism.
It is the demonstration that sovereignist culture is not nostalgia: it is vision, aesthetics, construction of the future.
The patriot does not burn museums: he rebuilds them.

Don’t accusations of “extremism” or “propaganda” bother you?

No.
When they call you “extremist,” it means you are touching raw nerves.
I’m not an extremist, I’m coherent.
Defending one’s nation, family, freedom of speech is not extremism.
It’s civilization.
Those who accuse us of propaganda often live on ideology and produce nothing. Instead we build, create, set enthusiasm in motion.

What is the relationship between the culture of the World in Reverse and the League?

It is a relationship of harmony, of ideal alliance.
We share values, language, and the desire to restore dignity to the Italian people.
We work independently, but along the same path: that of an Italy that does not apologize for existing.

His way of communicating divides. Is it a conscious choice?

Absolutely yes.
I don’t want to please everyone: I want to light fires.
Today, effective political communication is that which polarises, which creates identity and community.
Indifference is death. Division, if constructive, is life.

What will be the next projects?

We are expanding the Patriots Project with new stages and new artistic collaborations.
I’m working on a series of digital content — including music, art and video — that blend tradition and technology.
And we will soon launch a permanent laboratory on the use of AI in political and cultural communication.
I want to train young digital patriots: creative, courageous, and free.

What if you had to summarize your message in one sentence?

“We are here to prove that patriotism can be modern, culture can be courageous, and technology can serve the soul.”
