While theItaly continues to divide on the monologue of such Anthony Darken up (personally I don't even know who he is), and from the left don't miss an opportunity to raise the fear of fascism at every hour of the day and night (as if we were in 1924), the United States flexes its muscles (it's about time) and they vote on a measure that could prove decisive in deciding the fate of the West.
In fact, in the last few hours, with a very solid majority, the American Congress approved (in the House) a package of military aid to be allocated to allies abroad for a total amount of approximately 95 billion dollars. In detail, the law in question provides for the allocation of 61 billion dollars to support the Ukrainian cause, 26 billion for Israel and 8 billion for Taiwan.
Decisive, for the purposes of approving the measure, was the strong position taken by Mike Johnson, the speaker of the Republicans in the House, who, moving against the trend with respect to the line dictated up to now by his party, has decided to bring the law on voting aid to his chamber, although with a different text from the one approved last February in Senate. However, little changes in substantial terms, as the new text, voted last Saturday in the Chamber, effectively provides for the same amounts as the previous one, and should also not encounter further obstacles in the Senate, where it will be voted on in the next few hours.
Johnson's decisive change of direction, certainly dictated by a strong sense of responsibility on the part of the Republican speaker, and probably also by himself Donald Trumpwhose line towards Ukraine is progressively softening as the presidential election deadline approaches (scheduled for November), will now allow the Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to send supplies of weapons to the allies which, according to US forecasts, should reach the battlefield in the next few days.
Sending the military arsenals on the part of the United States, it is worth underlining, could now play a fundamental role in the economy of conflicts, especially that in Ukraine, whose fate in recent weeks already appeared tragically marked in favor of Russia Vladimir Putin. But not only. Because the choice of the American congress takes on an even broader significance, which goes far beyond simple military support for Kiev.
It is now clear that it looms over the head of the West a very heavy axe represented by the fearsome Russia-Iran-China axis, a declaredly anti-Atlantic alliance, which today cannot fail to be interpreted as a serious threat, not only for Ukrainians and Israelis, but for the entire West. Not by chance, American efforts they focused precisely on the three Western bastions currently threatened by the powers of the Russian-Sino-Iranian bloc, the truly great danger for the future of Europe and the West as a whole. With all due respect to those who, in Italy, still live in the perennial complex of a non-existent fascism.
