Two democratic legislators of Minnesota, the deputy Melissa Hortman and the senator John Hoffmanhave been wounded by firearm shots in separate attacks on Saturday morning. Hortman and her husband were killed in their home in Brooklyn Park, while Hoffman and his wife were seriously injured but survived after surgery. Shortly before the shootings, Hortman had voted against a law that would have extended the benefits of medicating without documents, a politically very delicate topic in the state.
The suspicion identified by the authorities is Vance Luther Boelter57 years old, who worked in private security and passed off as a police officer to enter the homes of the victims. Fanging for two days, armed and dangerous, he was arrested a few hours ago. In Boelter’s vehicle, the authorities found a manifesto and flyers that referred to one “No Kings” event -(the anti-trump movement that organized events across the country)-in addition to A list of over 50 people.
