Trump announces: "5 billion dollars from the Board of Peace to rebuild Gaza, but Hamas surrenders its weapons"

The Board of Peace, the international body created and chaired by Donald Trump, will meet for the first time on February 19 after its establishment last month. Italy, as Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni clarified, will participate as an observer country as the Constitution prevents the country from joining non-equal bodies. With a post on Truth, the tycoon has already anticipated some topics of the summit. Among these is the commitment of member states to allocate a total of 5 billion dollars for the reconstruction of Gaza.

The post on Truth

“The Board of Peace has unlimited potential. Last October I published a plan to definitively end the conflict in Gaza and our vision was unanimously adopted by the United Nations Security Council”, begins Trump in his post.

The tycoon then recalls the foundation of the new body: “About twenty illustrious founding members (there are 24, ed.) joined me in Davos, Switzerland, to celebrate its official constitution and present a courageous vision for the civilians of Gaza and, ultimately, well beyond Gaza: world peace!”.

The president reveals what will be discussed on February 19: “I will be joined again by members of the Board of Peace at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington, where we will announce that member states have committed more than $5 billion to humanitarian efforts and the reconstruction of Gaza and have committed thousands of people in the International Stabilization Force and local police to maintain security and peace for the people of Gaza.”

There is a warning to the militiamen who control part of the Strip: “It is very important that Hamas maintains its commitment to full and immediate demilitarization”. The message ends with an overly optimistic vision: “The Board of Peace will prove to be the most influential international body in history, and it is an honor for me to be its president.”
