Finally on Gboard There are two highly anticipated options that will make life easier for the users of Google keyboard: after a decidedly long test phase, in fact, Android and iOS users will be able to exploit the function of the “Cancel” and “Repeat” buttons.
The news of their realization had been circulating for a long time, but only in the last few hours the phase of distribution of the actual update has begun, thanks to which it will be possible to speed up writing and correct the beating errors more quickly. By clicking on “Cancel“, In fact, the user can immediately go back, de facto deleting the last action, typing or elimination of a single letter or an entire word. The button”Repeat“, On the other hand, will do the exact opposite, restoring the situation that had erroneously canceled previously, whatever it was. Obviously the application will keep all the changes in memory only until the keyboard is closed.
The two buttons, which inside the Google keyboard find a place in the central part at the top in correspondence with the area usually reserved for quick actions, will be clickable only and exclusively after digging letters or words, otherwise they will remain not selectable and gray in color. After the installation of Gboard or its update, however, “cancel” and “repeat” will not be present by default, but will be enabled by the user through a simple and linear procedure.
It will be sufficient to access the menu of the keyboard By clicking on the button with the four small squares located at the top and then scroll down until you reach the “Cancel” option, or drag directly “cancel” with the cursor in the keyboard toolbar. In each of the two cases, both keys will appear at the center of the upper part of Gboard, between the rapid menu and the icon of the vocal recognition.
At the moment the update with the two news is under distribution globally starting from Android users: updating the app on
Google Play Store at version 15 can already be appreciated by the change. Apparently iOS users will have to wait a little longer before they can benefit from the possibility of using the two new buttons.
