“I commit myself to a personal and the name of the government. I also warned by greeting some families of the victims a certain discomfort. Here, I would like to send you this message: the government is on your side, I am on your side. Any reading of the events is legitimate I think deeply in democracy, I will listen to any interpretation”. This was said by the Minister of the Anna Maria Bernini University, at the commemoration ceremony of the massacre of 2 August 1980 in the Municipality in Bologna, ensuring that the commitment to the law for compensation to the families of the victims. “We must not be afraid of truth. And I say in the name of this government that we will not be afraid of truth, so I have committed myself and I will do it: we made a commitment to make sure that the sentences of the state archives, the circular that are interpreted in a restrictive way are no longer there”, he added.
