The development team of Whatsapp continues with its work on the evolution of the famous instant messaging application to meet the needs of an ever-larger audience of users, intervening particularly recently in the field of security, one of the most delicate and debated topics by far.

Being so widespread among the world’s population, in fact, the app becomes a privileged hunting ground for cybercriminals constantly looking for sensitive data to take possession of. Normal, therefore, that the protection of privacy of users is one of the priorities, and it is precisely in this area that one of the innovations that were introduced in a recent beta version of WhatsApp released in the last few hours by programmers for devices equipped with Android falls.

Based on what emerged from the analysis of the beta version 2.24.4.14 carried out by some experts, it is possible to deduce that one of the objectives set by the developers to protect the security of users of the instant messaging app is to lock down the private chatspreventing intruders or onlookers without authorization from viewing their contents.

What is the extra step taken in this direction? To be precise, it simultaneously blocks access to chats for all connected devices, essentially a stop synchronized. The new feature released in the most recent beta version for Android allows the user on duty to block the chat on his main device and to automatically extend it to all other connected devices, although apparently for what concerns the feature with the web version the link is still under construction.

An effective way not only to protect your privacy but above all to simplify your life, given that it will no longer be necessary, as is the case now, to carry out an individual configuration for each device, be it a smartphone, a tablet or a computer. To open the list of all the chats that have been blocked by the user it will be necessary to enter a secret code alphanumeric.

Still in the field of security, there is also another new feature in sight for WhatsApp, which provides the possibility of stopping all messages sent by an unknown contact directly from the lock screen. After blocking, it will also be possible to make a report by clicking on the Report contact box and then selecting Block to confirm your action.
