WhatsApp it doesn’t stop and to the many innovations presented in recent days there is also a new function that will allow users to take advantage of innovative options for video playback. This is an addition that will be possible to find in the most recent versions of the instant messaging platform.
Act on video playback
According to the rumors filtered so far, the novelty has been identified within the changelog official of version 24.20.78. Essentially, WhatsApp will provide its users with new options for video playback. Going into specifics, it seems that users will have the possibility to adjust the playback speed of videos, which can increase up to 1.5x or 2x. In short, it will be like for voice messages, for which this option is already present. This will speed up the time on the platform considerably, especially for those who find themselves having to manage numerous conversations, even for work.
As if this wasn’t enough, still with regards to videos, WhatsApp will introduce the mode picture-in-picture. It will be possible to reduce the window of the videos we are viewing. This will allow you to continue watching the video without giving up on ongoing conversations.
Clearly for now these are functions that have yet to be made available to everyone. Apparently the release will be gradual, and will take a few weeks. To users of iOS all that remains is to wait.
WhatsApp and iPads
Meanwhile, the owners of iPad they keep wondering when the platform will arrive on their devices. Meta had made a commitment to iPad owners, but at the moment nothing is moving yet.
It is not known whether there are technical problems behind the slowdown, or whether, more simply, the project has been temporarily shelved.
Last year Meta had actually made available a first beta of WhatsApp for tabletsbut nothing further followed from this, perhaps due to lack of interest on the part of the company.
