That new WhatsApp function to save us from voice messages (perhaps)

The development team of WhatsApp It continues to create systems aimed at increasing the safety level for its users, and one of the most recent is the functionality that allows you to connect the account with an e-mail address confirmed. This is a procedure that could allow the users of the famous instant messaging app by the destination to recover their profile in emergency situations, as happens for example in the event of theft or loss of the smartphone or if for one reason or another one cannot be able to receive the verification codes by message or phone call.

The function, which in any case is not activated by default nor is it mandatory, guarantees the user the total confidentiality of the address e-mail selected for connection, since it can only be used for safety reasons relating to the recovery of the account. In the meantime, the platform is sending to everyone a message through its official channels to make this novelty public and explain its importance: the goodness of communication by WhatsApp is attested by the blue verification check. The official notice is therefore clearly visible thanks to the blue badge which is accompanied exclusively to verified accounts, a real need these times to counter the phishing phenomenon, given the proliferation of online scams and fake messages from fake profiles in every area.

The procedure for benefiting from the new WhatsApp functionality is quick and simple: simply open the “settings” of the instant messaging app, click on “Account” and reach the “e-mail address” item. Once this is done, simply insert the required data, move on to verifying the email through sending an OTP code to the new e -mail box and finally confirm the association. At the moment this new functionality is not usable from the web version of WhatsApp but only from that mobile.

The application is therefore enriched with a further element

Protection, a short distance from the introduction of the chat protection pin: thanks to the verification by email and the two -step one, our account will still be more armored against any cyberattacchi.
