Curtain raised up MCE-Exhibition Conference Expocomfort 2024the global business platform that presents all the technologies most innovative in heating, air conditioning, renewable energy, energy efficiency and the installation of systems that takes place until March 15th in the exhibition center of Milan Rho Fair. Wineskin 1,700 companies exhibitors of which 60% are foreign, thousands of professional visitors expected and official delegations with over 300 selected foreign operators from 45 countries.
In this edition, MCE offers a new layout that favors the convergence and integration of technologies, new connections that optimize visit routes with a renewed interest in components, systems and in general for the technologies that will be protagonists in theacceleration of the energy and environmental transition linked to the United Nations 2030 agenda. With forecasts, according to the 10th Cresme Report, presented at the inauguration of the event, of a less severe contraction of the market than expected despite the fact that in 2023 the installation of systems in the building sector recorded a decrease in the Italian market of 4.2% compared to 2022 (which represented a historical peak year).
“Concepts such as biodiversity, the progressive rarefaction of traditional resources, the redevelopment and energy sustainability of buildings are designing new scenarios in which HVAC+R operators can play an important role – underlines Massimiliano Pierinimanaging director of RX Italy – despite the complexity of the scenario that is emerging in the short and medium term”.
Thus there is great attention toEurope to the markets that have benefited most from cohesion and regional development funds, such as Polandwhich this year was designated “Partner Country” of the event, within the project dedicated to promotional activities which at each edition are studied by the organization to encourage meetings between exhibiting companies and decision makers from some of the most interesting foreign markets. And to encourage consolidation and economic-commercial development of Italian companies in foreign markets the collaboration with ICE – Italian Trade Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation was renewed for the international promotion of the event and the selection of operators to invite.
What’s new in 2024 is the prize MCE Excellence Awards – Efficiency&Innovation for Transition Goals recognition that will be assigned to the components, systems and technologies that will be protagonists in the acceleration of the energy and environmental transition linked to the 2030 agenda of the United Nations signed in 2015. Also important Hydrogen Hub the new hub of the event dedicated to components and technologies related tohydrogen, created with the aim of promoting the entire supply chain. The Hydrogen Hub project was strongly desired and supported by the 4 partners: Anima Confindustria; H2IT-Italian Hydrogen Association; Aicarr-Italian Association of Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration; Energy & Strategy Group – Polytechnic of Milan. Also debuts Water Prizepromoted in collaboration with Aqua Italia and Angaisa, on the topic Intelligent (use of) water: a prize competition capable of communicating the value of water and creating engagement between visitor and exhibitor.
The panel was nourished conferences, workshops and events to delve deeper into the issues and development potential of specific areas, in line with the three special focuses that will be discussed and analyzed during the meetings – Industrial, Smartness and Hydrogen – with the participation of all the actors called to contribute to theefficiency of buildings, neighborhoods and cities. Institutional interventions and those organized by international associations (Ehpa – European Heat Pump Association and Rehava – Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations) and partner associations are scheduled, with Aicarr in the front row with the 53rd International Conference and the presentation Of Climate 2025.
