Roberto Pellegrino

When I became a professional journalist at thirty years, I had already lived in different countries, telling them on paper, for the independent (during Tangentopoli), the newspaper, the reformist, Libero, L’Espresso, GQ, true, Dipiù, Vanity Fair and I was a woman. Born in Milan, at the age of 17 the great love for reading the American classics (John Steinbeck Maestro di Vita) and for the USA: I lived in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago. Then, like many, my two years of Purgatory in London, in a terrible journalistic agency, where I never raised my head from the table. And then, by chance, Spain, the last country where I would never have seen (and which opened me to South America with six months in Buenos Aires). Everything for an untreated passage to Barcelona of three days who became almost fifteen years, alternating with capital, great Madrid, where, three days after my arrival in Spain, I went with the heart to the throat to tell the bloody Islamist attacks. Given the editorial times, I have evolved, I don’t just write, I carry out video documentary and video interviews (I can shoot and mount digitally). And I also passed for TV as a correspondent and collaborator and even a little radio, to maintain high enthusiasm and curiosity. Since 1996, with a few short interruptions, I have written for the newspaper. I live between Barcelona and Madrid, based on the seasons and opportunities.
